Come have a cup of tea over conversations, Q&A, and live demo, Mr. Xiaoran Eric Liu will open your eyes to the world dizi and xiao.

Xiaoran "Eric" Liu is a leading figure in the new generation of bamboo flute ( 笛子dizi) performers in China. In January 2024, he performed his solo debut at Carnegie Hall. Liu gained admission to the Minzu University of China in 2012 with the highest national ranking in music. He is the youngest dizi player to have collaborated with the Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and has been frequently invited to perform with the China National Traditional Orchestra (CNTO) and the China Ethnic Song & Dance Ensemble. Liu has collaborated with prominent Chinese composers and performed at the top concert halls in China, including the Beijing Concert Hall and the National Centre for the Performing Arts. A passionate teacher, he was honored with the title of Beijing's Outstanding Young Teacher in 2015 and 2017.
