This May 6th and 7th, NHCCC and over 500 other local nonprofits are participating in the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven’s Great Give fundraiser. This year, we need your help to reach our goal of $10,000 that help partially fund the development of our members’ musicianship for the next three years. Thank you for being a member, a fan, a fundraiser, a volunteer, a community friend. With you help, not only did we meet our goal of $8,000 during the Great Give, we exceeded it and raised over $12,000 in 36 hours. You made it possible for us to bring accessible programming to places where Chinese and Taiwanese culture and music seem so far away. Your support shows that you are joining us in the mission of promoting cross-cultural exchange, and bringing people together.

On May 4, NHCCC is hosting “Stories from the North” the second of the two-part series that introduces the musical traditions from different Chinese-speaking regions. Registration is now open. Video trailer here.

November 2024 - A BIG “Thank you!” to CT Humanities for sponsoring our two-part project “A Listening Journey Part I and Part II“. This project features cultural presentations about musical styles prominent in different regions of China through both narration and musical performances. Both events will be followed by an audience interaction session about the introduced content.

June 2024 - We wrapped up our first season on Sunday, June 23, with a final performance as a part of International Festival of Arts and Ideas and a celebration picnic on New Haven Green. Thanks to all of our musicians who brought the performance together and all of our volunteers who helped make this season a success!
