December 2023

2023 has been a year of change, and with the change we have found JOY.

After 42 years of bringing language education to families in our community as New Haven Chinese Language School, we have now reimagined a new way to serve our community by gathering talent, forming a Chinese musical ensemble, and bringing Chinese culture to an even wider community. The result is a happy union of musical art and camaraderie.

New Haven Chinese Cultural Cooperative is born!

Under the artistic direction of Joy Lu, NHCCC is proud to open its door to the world on January 28, 2024 (NHCCC Open House). We are eager to share musical genres from various parts of China, performed on traditional instruments such as erhu, dizi, yangqin, guzheng, pipa, ruan…. Please join us on this musical journey.
